【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesphysicalproperties(mechanical,opticaletc.)forsunglassesandsunglarefiltersofnominalplanopowerwhicharenotprescriptionlenses,intendedforprotectionagainstsolarradiationforgeneraluse.forsocialanddomesticpurposes,includingroaduseanddriving.ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesalsorequirementsforfiltersforthedirectobservationofthesun(e.g.duringeclipses).GuidanceforselectionanduseofthesefiltersisgiveninAnnexE.Forsunglassesandsunglarefiltersforindustrialuse,EN166andEN172apply.ThisEuropeanStandarddoesnotapplytoeyewearforprotectionagainstradiationfromartificiallightsources,suchasthoseusedinsolaria.EN170appliesforthesefilters.ThisEuropeanStandarddoesnotapplytoskigoggles,forwhichEN174applies,orothertypesofeyeprotectionusedforleisureactivities.ThisEuropeanStandarddoesnotapplytosunglassesandfiltersthathavebeenmedicallyprescribedforattenuatingsolarradiation.
