【摘要】:ThispartoffourEuropeanStandardsspecifiesacompliancetestprovidinginformationonleachingofgranularwastesandsludgesundertheexperimentalconditionsspecifiedhereafter,andparticularlyaliquidtosolidratioof2l/kgdrymatter.Itappliestowastewhichhasaparticlesizebelow4mmwithoutorwithsizereduction(asspecifiedin4.3.2)ThisEuropeanStandardhasbeendevelopedtoinvestigatemainlyinorganicconstituentsfromwastes.Itdoesnottakeintoaccounttheparticularcharacteristicsofnon-polarorganicconstituentsnortheconsequencesofmicrobiologicalprocessesinorganicdegradablewastes.ThetestprocedurespecifiedinthisEuropeanStandardproducesaneluatewhichshallsubsequentlybecharacterisedphysicallyandchemicallyaccordingtoappropriatestandardmethods.Thisprocedureisonlyapplicabletowastematerialandsludgeshavingahighsolidcontent:thedrymattercontentratioshallbeatleasthigherthan33%.Inaddition,thenecessaryquantityofeluateshallbeobtainedtoperformthephysicalandchemicalcharacterisationoftheeluate.Furthermore,theminimumdrymattercontentratioshallbehighenoughtoallowasufficientmixingoftheleachantandthetestportion.NOTE1Thisprocedurecannotbeapplicabletomaterialswithawatercontentorsuchawateraffinitythatagoodmixingofthesolidwiththepredeterminedquantityofliquidisnotachievable.NOTE2Thisprocedurecannotbeapplicabletomaterialsreactingwiththeleachant,leading,forexample,toexcessivegasemission,asolidifyingeffectoranexcessiveheatrelease.NOTE3Bycrushingthematerial,newsurfacesareexposedwhichmayleadtoachangeinleachingproperties.NOTE4Inrelationwiththeminimumdrymattercontentratiorequiredforobtainingenougheluate,thetestportionspecifiedinthisEuropeanStandardof175gramdrymatterresultsinamaximumvolumeofeluateof175mlifitsdrymattercontentratiois50%.Whenthispart1isnotapplicable,theleachingtestatL/S=10specifiedinpart2canbeperformed.Thistestcannotbeusedalonetodeterminetheleachingbehaviourofawaste,asspecifiedinENV12920.ThisEuropeanStandarddoesnotaddressissuesrelatedtohealthandsafety.
