【摘要】:Thistestmethodusuallyrequiresseveralminutespersample.OthertestmethodswhichcanbeusedforthedeterminationofphosphorusinlubricatingoilsincludeWDXRFTestMethodD4927andICPAESTestMethodsD4951andD5185.However,thistestmethodprovidesmorepreciseresultsthanTestMethodsD4951orD5185.Lubricatingoilsaretypicallyblendsofadditivepackages,andtheirspecificationsarealsodetermined,inpart,byelementalcomposition.Thistestmethodcanbeusedtodetermineifunusedlubricatingoilsmeetspecificationswithrespecttoelementalcomposition.ItisexpectedthatGF4gradeengineoilsmarketedintheyears2004-2005willhaveamaximumphosphorusconcentrationlevelof500to800mg/kg.Theselimitsarerequiredtominimizepoisoningofautomotiveemissioncontrolcatalystsbyvolatilephosphorusspecies.Itisanticipatedthatthelatergradesofoilsmayhaveevenlowerphosphoruslevels.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthequantitativedeterminationofphosphorusinunusedlubricatingoils,suchasInternationalLubricantStandardizationandApprovalCommittee(ILSAC)GF4andsimilargradeengineoils,byinductivelycoupledplasmaatomicemissionspectrometry.1.2Theprecisionstatementsarevalidfordilutionsinwhichthemass%sampleinsolventisheldconstantintherangeof1to5mass%oil.1.3Theprecisiontablesdefinetheconcentrationrangescoveredintheinterlaboratorystudy(500to800mg/kg).However,bothlowerandhigherconcentrationscanbedeterminedbythistestmethod.ThelowconcentrationlimitsaredependentonthesensitivityoftheICPinstrumentandthedilutionfactor.Thehighconcentrationlimitsaredeterminedbytheproductofthemaximumconcentrationdefinedbythelinearcalibrationcurveandthesampledilutionfactor.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
